What is a Bequest?

A bequest is a lasting legacy you gift in your Will and Last Testament.

Leaving a gift in your Will ensures that great work continues at Charlies to relieve the suffering of friends and family into the future.

Your gift will enable the continuation of increasingly important research to be conducted at Charlies in the pursuit for cures and improved health outcomes for many generations to come.

Why Make a Will?

A Will is a legal document containing details of your wishes regarding the distribution of your estate after your death. By making a valid Will you can ensure that your wishes are clear and will be followed through under law.

Wording for your Will

To ensure that the correct preparation and wording of your bequest is recorded in your Will, we suggest making time to see your solicitor.

To make a bequest to the Charlies Foundation for Research, the following may be useful:

“I Give and Bequeath to the Charlies Foundation for
Research Ltd. free of all duties, the sum of
% of my Estate
and/or Life Insurance Policy Number
and/or the property situated at
and/or my Residuary Estate for which the receipt of the Treasurer or other authorised Officer shall be sufficient discharge”
