Research Awards Night 2024

On the 10th of October, we celebrated our 4th Annual Research Awards Night at Charlies Foundation for Research, honouring the exceptional contributions to patient-centred research and care at Sir Charles Gairdner and Osborne Park Hospitals.

We proudly announced the recipients of the Discovery Grant, Ray Florence Shaw Grant, and the prestigious Peter Thompson Award for the highest-rated application. Held at the Royal Perth Yacht Club, the evening was a true celebration of innovation, collaboration, and the future of healthcare in WA.

A special highlight of the evening was Dr Sanjay Ramakrishnan, recipient of the Bob Johnson and Jenny Llanos Clinical Research Fellowship, who shared his remarkable career journey and experiences over the past year, including his groundbreaking work in improving treatment outcomes for patients with asthma and COPD.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our incredible community of donors, whose support is making a profound difference in the lives of Western Australians.
